Michael A. Walsh, CEO
Michael A. Walsh, CEO and Founder started the company in 1984 after having served as Director of Development for St. Mary’s College High School in Berkeley, California where he was charged with all fundraising and public relations activities and also coached golf and football. Originally from Fargo, North Dakota, Walsh relocated the firm and his family to the Minneapolis-St. Paul area in 1987 and began working with churches shortly thereafter before deciding that church-work would be the firms’ sole focus in 1991. Mr. Walsh personally developed the service "success system” utilized by all of our consultants and church clients today. He is the author of the comprehensive, step-by-step guide to conducting church capital campaigns entitled, “How to Conduct Church Capital Campaigns the Walsh Way”. He also oversaw the development of our “WalshWare™ Campaign Management Software” used by all of our consultants and church clients today. Additionally, Michael has developed a series of capital campaign training DVD’s, and is the author of our “Guidelines for Gift Gathering” instructional booklets, as well as a variety of other materials and guides used in our church capital campaigns today. Mr. Walsh has authored various articles on a variety of fundraising and stewardship topics and he has been a featured speaker at various national and regional conferences and events.
He and his wife Julie live in Apple Valley, Minnesota and are members of St. John Neumann Church in Eagan, Minnesota. They have two children, Jonathan, who is a senior at St. John’s University in Collegeville, Minnesota and Nicole who is a University of Minnesota graduate and member of the customer services team for Health Partners.
