Eric Goldschmidt understands church fundraising from the clients’ side of the table. As a Lutheran pastor for 25 years, he spearheaded multiple three-year capital campaigns that raised nearly $3 million. The last two of those campaigns were under the direction of Walsh & Associates. Eric also encouraged and oversaw annual fund giving of over $12 million during his time in public ministry. He considers it a privilege and a pleasure to help Christian congregations enhance their mission and ministry programs through strategic fundraising efforts.
For the past three years, Eric has worked in the area of architecture, primarily as a liaison and consultant on church and church school projects. He has witnessed firsthand the struggles that congregations face in achieving their ministry goals when their projects are underfunded. He enjoys helping churches reach their fullest fundraising potential so that they can accomplish the most for their family of faith and for their community and wider world.
Eric is a lifelong student who constantly adds to his knowledge and skills. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree and a Master of Divinity degree on his way to becoming a pastor. He has recently completed half of his doctoral coursework at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School in Deerfield, Illinois.
Eric and his wife, Beth, have five grown children—one son and four daughters, as well as one grandchild and one on the way. When not helping church groups raise funds for awesome projects, Eric enjoys year-round outdoor sports of all kinds, traveling, and staying fit.
