Barb Timm joined Walsh & Associates in February, 2010 as their Director of Church Relations after serving as the Campaign Assistant for her own church’s capital campaign directed by Walsh. She has recently taken on the new position of Director of Client Services and Relations. In this role, she is working to assist our current and past clients, whether they are contemplating new campaigns, need help with their on-going fulfillment or stewardship efforts or have other needs or inquiries into our services. Drawing on the knowledge she gained working through a Walsh-led campaign, Barb is a good resource for the specifics of the effort and she also has knowledge of the WalshWare database system that is provided for the church’s use during the campaign. In addition, she monitors the ACT! database we employ as a company and assists with marketing efforts and keeping our website up to date.
Prior to working for the church, Barb spent 20 years in the mortgage industry, working as Manager of Compliance, Closing and Post Closing departments for MidAmerica Mortgage. Her duties included monitoring Governmental regulations and establishing policies and procedures to meet guidelines; conducting on-going oversight and training of staff to ensure compliance with policies; conducted monthly auditing of files; review of new lender programs; and maintaining Broker relations. Barb also oversaw the setup of the Closing and Post Closing departments, developed company compliance procedures as well as procured new Broker relationships with national lenders, including US Bank and Wells Fargo for the (then) newly formed Residential Mortgage Group.
Barb is married and has 2 sons who are both active in sports and school activities. She has been an involved member of both her church and the parochial school where her children attend, sitting on committees, such as the School Advisory Board for 5+ years, chairing fundraising events and volunteering in the classroom. She is also involved as the tournament director for the local youth hockey program.
